Job Description
A respected law firm with a strong national reputation in clinical negligence is looking to appoint a Senior Clinical Negligence Solicitor to its expanding team. This is a superb opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Solicitor seeking high-quality work within a collaborative, progressive and flexible environment.
The Opportunity
This role offers a genuinely hybrid working model, requiring attendance at the Leeds office just two days per month. You will benefit from primarily home-based working while maintaining valuable in-person collaboration at the firm’s modern Leeds premises.

You will join a specialist clinical negligence team recognised for its expertise and holding accreditations with APIL, AvMA and the Law Society. As a Senior Solicitor, you will take ownership of a complex and rewarding caseload, delivering clear, compassionate advice to clients while working closely with medical experts, counsel and other stakeholders to secure the best possible outcomes.
In addition to managing your own matters, you will play a key leadership role within the team – mentoring junior colleagues, contributing to strategic decisions and helping to drive strong client service and commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities
Independently manage a complex caseload of clinical negligence claims
Progress cases proactively with a commercial and strategic mindset
Develop strong working relationships with clients, counsel and medical professionals
Draft key legal documentation, including Letters of Claim and expert instructions
Conduct settlement negotiations and manage court proceedings where required
Support the Team Leader in achieving departmental objectives
Supervise, guide and mentor junior team members
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case management records
About You
At least 3 years’ PQE (or equivalent experience) in clinical negligence
Recent experience handling a varied and technically complex caseload
Excellent drafting and communication skills
Strong organisational and time management abilities
Commercial awareness and a strategic approach to litigation
A collaborative and team-oriented outlook
Experience supervising and mentoring junior lawyers
Confident IT skills, including case management systems and Microsoft Office
